Who is eligible for the Child Dental Benefit scheme and how does it work?

The Child Dental Benefit Scheme or CDBS is a Government funded dental program to help cover basic dental costs for eligible children aged 2-17 years. The program gives a $1095 allowance over each 2-year period that the child is eligible. 

To get the allowance, you child must be all of the following

• Aged 0-17 years old

• Eligible for Medicare

• Getting Centrelink payments or have a parent, carer or guardian getting Centrelink payments
